What does the program provide?

Annual federal tax credit of 20% of annual mortgage interest payment for as long as you live in the home

What does the program require?

Buyer must

  • Be a first-time homebuyer
  • Live in the property as a primary residence
  • Apply for the program when applying for an FHA, VA or conventional mortgage loan from any lender in the State of Arizona
  • Pay program fees of .75% (.0075) of the loan amount
  • Pay a $100 administration fee annually

The property must

  • Be located in the City of Tucson
  • Be a new or existing single family home, including duplexes and manufactured housing

Where does the program funding come from?

Federal tax credit provided by the U.S. Department of the Treasury through the Internal Revenue Service.
