Proposition 407, which will be on the November 6, 2018 ballot, asks voters to consider a $225 million bond to improve parks, pathways, greenways, and bikeways. Proposition 407 would not raise taxes. Instead, to keep the tax rate constant, the city would issue new bonds as older bonds are retired. Proposition 407 would also create a citizen oversight commission, to ensure that bond funds are spent as directed by voters.
