Note from AmeriCorps VISTA Member Dulce Arroyo, serving at United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona

“I would like to share how amazing of a season I had helping families with low and moderate incomes to file their taxes. We have helped 15,808 families this season, and now that the tax season is over our Enrollment Specialist Team has helped students with their applications for FAFSA. The FAFSA can further their education and provide for their families, while helping the students become productive individuals in their communities.

It has been an incredible opportunity to discover what it means to be a part of a volunteer team with AmeriCorps and be part of this great community! The great energy, excitement and hard work that everybody is willing to do to better this community of Tucson is absolutely amazing!

Thank you Arizona Serve for this wonderful opportunity that you gave me to serve with this fabulous team!”
