There’s help available for Tucsonans filing their federal and state income tax returns—through the Free File program or through free in-person assistance at a United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona VITA site.
Mayor Rothschild joined United Way and its partners at a press conference to announce the programs at the Quincie Douglas Library—just one of many convenient VITA sites available throughout Tucson.
Mayor Rothschild urged Tucsonans to take advantage of the Free File program, which uses software and a Q&A format to help people fill out their returns themselves, or the VITA program with trained tax preparers. In 2015, these programs helped return $25.7 million in federal refunds and credits to Arizona taxpayers!
