The second Mayor’s Gallery highlights the work of Tucson artist Randy Hansen, who specializes in art from the American Desert.

Featured works showcase Hansen’s Blackwolf Series – large-format photo impressionistic pieces – with all of the proceeds going to the nonprofit Casa de los Niños in Tucson.

“The desert is a mysterious and fascinating place,” Hansen explains. “In this new Blackwolf Series, I express my feelings in visual presentations of the emotion the desert evokes to me. I use desert patterns to amplify the intrinsic desert colors and integrate them to achieve an emotional response by the viewer.”

Randy Hansen is an award-winning, internationally-known, artist with more than 50 years of work in various media in Los Angeles, Santa Fe and Tucson.  He’s been focusing on the desert for the past two decades.
